Depicts the view towards Saltash from the Devon side of the bridge, with a train hauled by a steam locomotive crossing from Cornwall. The locomotive is beneath the inscription on the portal reading "I.K. Brunel, Engineer, 1859". The Saltash ferry and a yacht are sailing on the River Tamar. Beyond, on a hillside, is the town of Saltash. Signed at bottom right. Text below reads "The Royal Albert Bridge, Saltash. Brunel's famous link between Glorious Devon and the Cornish Riviera".
